Our Troop meeting on Monday 8/17 will be at Yorba Regional Park at 7600 East La Palma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92807, we will meet promptly at 7:00PM and be doing an orienteering course that was created by an Eagle Scout. Please bring a compass, water bottle, headlamp/flashlight and a pen/pencil with you to the park and wear your Class B uniform. Do not go to Richfield Community Church on Monday as the troop will not be there. The orienteering course starts near the flagpole located on the west side of Yorba Regional Park near the Anaheim Softball fields. Please see the attached map to show where you park and meet us.     

On Monday 8/31 at 7pm, we will be having our Troop Court of Honor. All Scouts and their families are invited to attend and we would appreciate you bringing a snack or a drink to share. We will recognize all of the amazing Scouts and adults that attended Summer Camp at Big Horn and any Scouts that have earned merit badges, patches, rank advancements and camping nights awards since the last Court of Honor. All Scouts to wear their full class A uniforms and merit badge sash if they have one. We also need any Scouts and adults to please come early around 6:30 pm to help set up. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Save the dates and get ready for a “rockin’” good time with Troop 1613 at the world-famous Joshua Tree National Park, December 4–6! We’ll camp at Sheep Pass Campground surrounded by the park’s incredible rock formations and iconic Joshua trees, explore memorable sights including Skull Rock and Arch Rock, and enjoy amazing stargazing under Joshua Tree’s spectacular night skies. Don’t miss this fun weekend of camping, exploring, and adventure!

Save the dates for an epic Scout adventure to Death Valley National Park, February 12–15, 2027! We’ll explore Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level, sled down the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, hike to a Natural Bridge, take in the incredible views at Zabriskie Point, and explore the colorful mineral hills along Artists Drive. We’ll stay at a group campsite at Furnace Creek Campground for an unforgettable trip over the President's Day holiday weekend!

Invite them to join Troop 1613 and their National and Orange County Council membership costs are complimentary for their first year! Open to any youth boys age 11 -17 that join in 2026.
