On Monday 8/31 at 7pm, we will be having our Troop Court of Honor. All Scouts and their families are invited to attend. We will recognize all of the amazing Scouts and adults that attended Summer Camp at Big Horn and any Scouts that have earned merit badges, patches, rank advancements and camping nights awards since the last Court of Honor. All Scouts to wear their full class A uniforms and merit badge sash if they have one. We also need any Scouts and adults to please come early around 6:30 pm to help set up. We look forward to seeing you all there!   

Sign up by Monday, 8/10 for our upcoming campout to Palomar Mountain from 8/14 - 8/16! We'll be camping at the Observatory Campground and enjoying a hike to the world-famous Palomar Observatory, located atop Palomar Mountain in northern San Diego County. Owned and operated by Caltech, the observatory is a renowned center for astronomical research and is home to several active telescopes, including the iconic 200-inch Hale Telescope, one of the largest optical telescopes in the world. This promises to be an exciting weekend of camping, hiking, and exploring one of Southern California's most fascinating scientific landmarks. More details will be sent as we get closer to the event. We look forward to having you join us for this adventure! Sign up by 8/3 and turn in your permission form and $40 camping fee.         

Have a friend that would like to enjoy fun in the outdoors, hiking and camping activities, learn fun skills and leadership? Invite them to join Troop 1613 and their National and Orange County Council membership costs are complimentary for their first year! Open to any youth boys age 11 -17 that join in 2026. Please invite them to an upcoming meeting!                      

We will be meeting at the RCC Fellowship Hall to do the Totin' Chip certification for any of those who need it. Scouts, please bring a pocketknife. Hope to see you all there!

We will be having our monthly PLC meeting at the RCC Fellowship Hall in order to discuss our upcoming August troop meetings. Wear class B. Hope to see you all there! 

We will be meeting in the Target parking lot on 17506 Yorba Linda Blvd at 9:00 AM on July 5th to depart for Camp Big Horn! Be sure to wear full Class A Uniform, as well as a bathing suit underneath with closed toe shoes. If you have paperwork still required, make sure to bring it. Also, we will be having lunch on the way up to camp, so bring cash to get some food! Look forward to seeing you all there.
