There will be a Troop Court of Honor on May 23rd at 7pm where we will be honoring our Scouts that have achieved rank advancements, merit badges, camping night awards and Camporee awards for all of those participants. Attention Scouts, If you are interested in placing flags to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who have served. Please Join all of Canyon District Scouts and volunteer on May 28th from 7:30am to 11:30am at Farhavien Memorial Park. Scouts can just show up in Full class A including sash, bring a screwdriver and small dust broom if you have one. Scouts will get service hours signed by Mrs. Schwartz if they attend.
As a reminder, Each Scout and adult attending Summer Camp at Big Horn must have the Medical Form Part C (attached) completed and signed by a licensed physician (MD, DO), nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. Please make your doctor's appointments now and turn in your Medical Form Part C no later than 6/6. If you are having difficulty getting a doctor's appointment, we recommend getting an appointment at a local CVS or MedPost Urgent Care. A Big Horn Summer Camp Participation Form and Rifle / Shotgun Permission Form are also attached. Please make sure you complete the forms, have them signed by your parent and returned to Mr. Mouleart by 6/6 as well. Hello Troop, We will be having a troop meeting on May 16th at Fellowship Hall at Richfield Community Church. We will be helping younger scouts get their Totin Chip and Fireman Chit, as well as going over first aid and emergency preparedness. We will be following the same safety guidelines as the previous in-person activities.
Sign up now for the upcoming backpacking trip 5/21 - 5/22 to Bear Canyon Trail Camp in the Angeles National Forest. The trail is about 4.25 miles to the camp. Please sign-up and turn in your permission slip and camp fee to Mr. Mouleart by 5/16.
