Operation Christmas Child Volunteer Opportunity

Posted on Dec 1 2016 - 4:53am
Hello Troop families,

We have an opportunity to help at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center (the only one West of Dallas Texas) next Wed. December 7th, 6:00 p.m. (sharp) to 10:00 p.m. You need to be able to stay the entire shift and you need to be at least 13 years old (no exceptions, their rules). I know it is hard that it's a school night, but the shifts filled up quickly and we were lucky to get a spot. Those of us who have gone before found the experience very rewarding.
It is in Irvine, near John Wayne Airport. See the attachments for more information and the the waiver form that everyone (adult or youth) is required to bring. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress in warm layers as we will be in a warehouse.

We have a limited amount of spaces reserved so you must RSVP to Barb Finnell by Saturday December 3rd at 5:00. Those first to contact are first to be guaranteed a spot. Text preferred, (714) 271-8070 or email bfinnell@fullerton.edu. Be sure to include your name and how many scouts and adults are coming.
